QA Engineer (Manual)

Then the role of QA Engineer (Manual Testing focus) at Realworks is perfect for you! As a QA Engineer at Realworks, you play a crucial role in safeguarding the quality of our applications such as the CRM, the API platform, and Move.nl. You work closely with Developers and Product Owners to ensure that new features go out the door flawlessly. Your primary focus will be on manual testing, executing test cases, validating functionality step by step, and ensuring the user experience is smooth and reliable. While there will be opportunities to explore automation, this role places strong emphasis on hands-on functional testing.

What are you going to do?

• Compile, execute and document manual test plans and test cases;

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory and acceptance testing to identify bugs and usability issues;

• Reproduce, analyse and report defects to Developers, ensuring structural resolution;

• Work closely with Product Owners to validate requirements and acceptance criteria;

• Support the development teams by providing clear feedback on product quality;

• Assisting in maintaining and expanding automated tests when needed.

Your team
You will join a new team where a lot is possible: shaping testing processes, selecting tools, and establishing a fresh approach to testing and quality. Together with your colleague QA Tester, you will help build this new direction. You will have room to apply your manual testing experience, bring your own ideas, and truly make an impact. Additionally, you work closely with the 12 development teams.

• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable QA role, with strong focus on manual testing; preferably in agile software development environments;

• Prior experience using Atlassian JIRA (or similar issue-tracking tools) is a plus;

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies such as functional testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing;

• Experience writing and executing detailed test cases and reporting outcomes;

• Basic familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus, but not the core focus;

• Experience working in an agile development environment;

• Independent and proactive, with a sharp eye for detail and quality;

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
